he says that bhu is way behind iit's
the only advantage of bhu is that u get 2 study amongst students who r jee qualified.
iiit hyd has an excellent reputation & faculty.
an iitk cs professor has said that outside the 7 iit's , iiith is the best for cs btech.
my advice is go for iiith as bhu is not treated at par with iit's either in india or abroad
See looking at the fact that u have performed well in ur exams it seems that u r a hard working person. And if u want my suggestion GO FOR IT-BHU (elec) dude!!!!!IT ROCKS!!!!!
In neither ways i m disregarding other options that u have but all i wanna put down is that u can have a reallly bright exposure ABROAD if u join BHU.It has damn good placements in elec(prev yr highest was 22 lacs p.a.) and after IITs it is the MOST REPUTED COLLEGE ABROAD, coz it has a long and glorious history behind it!!!!!!!!!!
I know that it is the best combination of branch and college so it is a worthy option and given the fact that u have no DIE HARD passion for CSE GO 4 IT DUDE!!!!!
THIS OPINION IS DAMN RIGHT COZ MY FATHER TOO STUDIED IN BHU AND IS PRESENTLY A SCIENTIST!!!!!!!And many friends of mine having 3000+ rank in JEE and about 1000 rank in AIEEE have joined BHU (mech, for instance)
And IIITH is not reputed as much as BHU(mark my words!!!!!)
Bits is also a good option against BHU but only if u get CSE/ECE/ENI!!!!!!!
HOPE U HAVE GOT MY POINT!!!!
IF U WANNA KNOW MORE ABOUT BHU.......
DO NUDGE ME!!!!!!!!!!
DO RATE ME TOO!!!!!!!
ASTALAVISTA!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I would go for IIIT Hyderabad any day for the following reasons:
1) Faculty
http://www.iiit.ac.in/people/faculty (@ IIIT-H)
http://www.bhu.ac.in/ComputerScience/index.html (@IT-BHU)
Just compare the number of PhDs, number of proffs and their publications. Infact quality of academics is dismal at IT-BHU.
2) Number of PhD/MS admits
Which are really quite high at IIIT-Hyderabad.
Reason: You need to do research to get a PhD/ MS (funded) admit, and if professors themself are not engaged in research (not publishing), how can you urself publish papers. Second, you need strong recos from reputed profs to get admits to MIT/CMU and the likes. I am afraid IT-BHU does not really have any great professor of international repute.
It is no surprise, that you hardly find people from IT-BHU at top universities abroad, but there is a significant number of guys from IIIT-Hyderabad.
3) Jobs/Internships
The location factor of IIIT Hyderabad really helps it in the above
4) General academic environment and infrastructure
All you need is a visit to both places to easily realize this.
I am not sure what else you mean by reputation. I feel IIIT-H beats BHU on all these factors.

only the tag of an iitian doesnt matter .. go behind the quakllity as well ..
