dear expets and goiitians,

i am getting computer engineering and electronics branch in the following universities and colleges. i live in delhi and going out of delhi is no prob for me and i am a south indian.(so going to south is also no prob for me).
please arrange them in descending order of preference.it is very urgent and i am in a lot of confusion
my aieee rank is 996(state rank-83)
my dce/nsit rank is 116
my bitsat score is 320.
my iit rank is 2369.

so the colleges are:(in all i would get cse and ece)
1. NIT suratkhal
2. NIT warangal
3. NIT Trichy.
4. IIIT Hyderabad
5. IIIT Allahabad
6. IT BHU
7. DCE
8. NSIT
9. PEC
10. DA-IICT

11. but at IIT madras, roorkee, kanpur, kgp and bombay i may get material science and metallurgical engg, civil engg and biotech.

i have not yet decided what to after 4 yrs like mba, ms or taking a job.
i would like to all future options open.
what's the scope of MEMS and biotech after doing those from iits.

plz arrange them in any proper order.
it is very urgent.

hi,
if u have to study cse &ece only then & nothing else u should go to bhu other wise u should opt civil  in any of the good iits as civil is going to roar after 5-8 years.as far as MEMS & biotech are considerd u can put in your choice sheet below it
try to get in good college  and then see to average branch at this rank.
rate if i helped u.

A HAMMER HITS HARD........SO DO I...

in my opinion if ur really interested in cs u should go for iiit-h and u'll get it too.
for ms or mba in the future join an iit where branch change is relatively easy.

iiit-h is what i would pick out of ur options
its a great new college with excellent living conditions (ac rooms)
and excellent infrastructure
and is taken by the top rankers of ai
so it speaks for itself and it would be better than anything else on ur table i think

Biotech is new emerging branch, if you are getting it in IIT,s definitely think about it.
Surathkal, Trichi both are very good istitutes.
If you are interested in Material sciences- nanotechnology, development of nano materials has a lot of scope; doining material sciences from IIt's is also a good idea.
Congrats for your excellant score, you have the option of joining the premier institutes of your choice. Best wishes for your bright future.
