frnds, @all iitians on this forum plz tell us about how u prepared,ur experiences(plz do not forget too tell yo were a dropper or did it in first attempt),mistakes you did(no offence),where did u do ur coachings or tuitions frm and all @all those who missed plz tell us the mistakes u made while preparing regarding all things (for eg. wrong coaching or wrong study material or nething) plz note:your reply will not only help me but also will be useful for all aspirants so i urge u not to neglect this topic

jee paper dekhne ke baad asan laga,thus i took it lightly and in d end i ran short of time ,due to which i lost two full maths comprehensions (which were quite easy,as i was able to them as i came out of the hall) and in hurry i messed up 1 match d following also.
i took d 2nd paper seriouly and thus finished d paper 10 minutes before time.
it was my 1st attempt and i'm getting chem eng at iitk.
so guys,who will b appearing for jee2008,don't take d exam lightly,chahe kitna bhi paper asaan lage.
i gave too much time to the starting questions,rechecked them 2-2 times and thus messed up my 1st paper.

Hi, i was not successful in my first attempt....mainly b'cas of najor silly mistakes........like after solving the entire question,making a mistake in addition,etc... i am going to give IIT again in 2008..... but this time i will be more vigilant.....

hey ......i am fresher........
first wen i saw the paper i looked damn easy.....and i started doing it quickly.........in chem as well as maths i made silly mistakes..............
but in paper 2 i didnot made lots of mistakes in chem and maths but did it in physics............so overall my performance was average in all 3 subjects..............
i got meta at iitb.................
see divide ur time properly as the last 6 hrs r only important which will decide that what u gonna join in iit or u will be just in or out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so just clear ur concepts..........
see every que carefully and pls plss..plsss....................never underestimate the jee paper
i had done a silly mistake in que of vectors and stereo chemistry............................for which i am paying till now.....
in the 2nd paper i missed the whole comprehension in chem(reimmer tiemman).................jusss because of 2 match list............(though they were correct)
during paper ...............feel cool...................and dont get ur morale down....................b4 starting of the paper..............i u want then do some random maths calculations ...like multiply bigger no. etc...........
that will help u to get in the flow......and will increase ur some marksss....

Well i somehow managed to get IIT KGP this year though i really screwed up my JEE paper in a crappy way!!!!!!!
Well u always do not get what u want and so u have 2 do some compromise, and that's what i am doing , but the prime reason for that is that i am a FRESHER!!!!!!
All i wanna say is that if u study with ur full dedication,without thinking about what's gonna happen when i'll be giving JEE,will i make it?if yes with what rank r all shitty things.
One shouldn't think about results and do what he is bound to do!!!!!!!
Just go and give ur exams as if u r giving ur practise tests(FIITJEE/BRILLIANT etc.) and DO NOT THINK THAT THIS IS JEE THE TOUGHEST AND MOST COMPETITIVE EXAM IN INDIA, if u'll thimk so U WILL MESS UP UR EXAM ,mark my words U WILL!!!!!!
Well i find myself not good enough to guide u people how 2 study etc. but i can definitely tell u what mistakes i commited so that u become more conscious of those!!!!!!
#After the first paper i went home, and had my heavy lunch and that's where i made mistake.
After having my tummy tightened up all i had was laziness, so i wasn't able to put my 100% and wasn't able 2 concentrate on my paper!!!!!(so always have a snack in the break not a lunch)
#Don't ever make WILD GUESSES IN IIT JEE(especially) coz they r bound to get wrong(coz they r designed intelligently)
It's always benificial to leave qns. rather than having guesses
#During ur study course of time always try n make ur weakest subject better than ur stronger subject.There is no use in doing hell lot of qns. of ur favorite/strongest subject.It won't take u far ahead in competition!!!!!!!!!!!!
#Don't consider too much what ur elders , ur teachers , ur batchmates say about ur performance.If they say good things take them as blessings and don't get up and fly in sky with those remarks.And if they say bad, it's even better than the former case coz u r not expected 2 perform very well in exams so u don't come under pressure either!!!!!
So mind ur own work, HAVE CONFIDENCE IN U AND UR BRAIN AND ALWAYS BE MOTIVATED NOTHING(ABSOLUTELY NOTHING CAN COME IN UR WAY)
Coz that's what i've been doing and that's my own experience!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO I THINK I'VE SPEND 15 MINUTES ON THAT.
IF U WIND IT WORTHY ENOUGH..............
DO RATE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. 3-4 hrs. avg. studies ( effective study )evryday...but evry damn day..!!
2. dont study anything new ( which u havent done so far ) 2 dayz before JEE..
3.in dese 2 dayz.....juz revise d formulaes....nothin elz..
4. no phone calls frm friends in d last week..
5. no new prblms to be solved in the last week before JEE....
6. dont talk too much in the last week...( energy is spent in 2 ways....via seeing and speaking....unfortunately...we cant avoid seeing but v can avoid speaking...dont chatter chatter chatter )
7. avoid meeting depressing or emotional people before d exam..
8.your 1st 2 questions are bound 2 b nervous....ur hands might tremble while solving d question....just accept the fact dat this happens and is unavoidable.....laugh at your pathetic condition ( not openly...apne mann mein hi )....and d tension will ease out.
9.as said above.....dont b greedy for marks...in d sense dat no wild guesses at all...u will repent as i did..!!
10. in d break.....no talking 2 friends on how their paper went...
also....dont see ur paper to see what u did rite or wrong.....my advise....tear it away....juz listen to sum nice music...have a light snack....and plzz. dont sleep in btw those 2 hrs....ur mind gets fused.
11.even after d paper is finished......dont check d internet 2 see how much u mite get.....if u score superbly...u wont study for the upcoming exams...if u score badly....the motivation wud b lost..!!!

2. dont study anything new ( which u havent done so far ) 2 dayz before JEE..(all the jee aspirants finish their syllabus atleast a month before the jee exam so what's the point of studying anything new)
3.in dese 2 dayz.....juz revise d formulaes....nothin elz.(revise your old questions which you have solved also not all but few important one's which you think cover important concepts).
4. no phone calls frm friends in d last week..(do you think the aspiratnts will keep wasting their time on chatting on the phone)
5. no new prblms to be solved in the last week before JEE...(repetition of point number 3).
