7-8 hrs of self study???????????????
is it less??????????
i dont think so man
see if u just spend 2 hrs fr each subject....its good
1 hr try subjective theories and qs , in other hour try objective qs...m sure if u do this for next 5 months , u will be able to crack iit
all the very best :) :)

To find out how many hours per day on average, JEE aspirants study, here is an interesting poll
http://www.iitjee.freeservers.com/cgi/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1192621453

actually time doesnt matter!!!.......some people can finish 50 questions in 3hrs and some would take only 1hr for the same 50 questions........its how much u hav learnt in that time that matters!!! ideally u shud do 50 -70 sums in maths and physics and 3-4 TOPICS(not chapters.....for example u can do >>>>>>>>>> structural isomerism, geometricaL isomerism and tautamerism in a day!!) in chemistry each day
