I have heard that IIT kgp does not allow the MNCs to come to its campus for placement and pick up Kgp students.
Is this true ?
Anyone pl.....any Kgp student or expert or someone whose close relation there ?
Apparently, there is a bit of a contradiction here.
I hv also been told that the some students from Exploration Geophysics at IIT-Kgp bagged jobs with an annual salary above 20 lakhs. Did they get those salaries in an
Indian Company ?

i guess that's not true coz companys like schlumbereger came and offered 23 lakhs . it can be like there will be no foreign placement, again i am not sure

Schlumberger offered jobs to persons from Explrn Geophysics I suppose.
Did anyother MNC offered a job to someone from CSE/Mech ?
I had tried to look up the IIT-Kgp Website but in vain.

My father is from IIT KGP and currently a Director at Oracle. He recruits from IIT KGP. IIT KGP does not disallow MNCs from participating in placements.

IIT Khgpr does not allow foreign placements. But it surely allows MNCs to visit. Yahoo an Google both recruit engineers from IIT Khrgpr. But the company must be functional in India and the employees have to work in India for at least 2 years.
That's alll !!!!
