sir i want to know that if i am choosing iit patna electrical branch than nit kurshetra computersor bits mechanics for brand name and a better subject then how much am I right .please reply soon

Frankly speakin i dont IIT patna will make an impact such as IIT-Hyd. or IIT-Ahmedabad.Actually U cant trust Bihar govt. 2 take IIT-patna seriously afterall construction & allotment of land is done by state govt.
If ur getting Mech. at pilani den dat wud b bettr option.
If ur determind to do MBA den go fer IIT tag.
Are u preparin fer IIT or have already qualified????Then i cud help u bettr...

Considering IITs to b on top, BITS-pilani is d 2nd best coll. in INDIA.
Mech.,Electrical and CSc are top branches & as such none of them is inferior 2 the other.Ur BITSAT score is 327 & u can surely get Mech. at Pilani bcoz 500 seats in IITs are added dis year.So u have a strong case.Also cutoffs are fallin by 3marks atleast each year.Ihave got 348 in BITSAT-08(appl. no. 304470) & JEE-08 AIR(Rg. No. 4084314) is 2707.I've got Mech. at IIT-Hyderabad.I dont think u shud even think of NIT Kurushetra especially wen u can get pilani Mech. bcoz NIT kuru. is not among the top 5 NITs.BITS-pilani & IITs are brands.In any job interview u can proudly boast of being an IITian or even BITSian but NITian unless dat NIT is among top 20 colleges. Go fer BITS -Mech. or even IIT patna just fer d sake of becomming IITian

brother i have read your earlier responses for yourself that you are choosing an iit tag for mechanics
why? not you encurage me to take iit even at patna & go for hard work.
after 4 years even iit patna will be a old iit & doing better than new iits at that time

Well i knew dat u wud ask me dis ques. & so i wud like 2 inform u dat dere no comparison btween Patna & Hyderabad.Hyd. is an IT city wid lots of job oppornuties & exposure fer summer jobs but u cant say the same thing fer patna...Im goin to IIT Hyd. bcoz.
IIT tag & Hyd. cud prove useful fer my MBA or MS coachings ..
Everyone here suggested me to go to Hyderabad as it had collab. wid JAPAN and Hyderabad itself is a Hitech city... U Knw dat IITs at large city CAN NEVER flop....Guwahati & Roorkee r d WORST performers among IITs not facilities r not gud but bcoz these r somewhat ISOLATED from large cities...Even if I find dat IIT-Hyd. is not a gud coll. I can easily find a job in Hyderabad but dat mite not b the case with patna...I suggested u fer BITS not i dont want U 2 become an IITian but bcoz I MYSELF WUDNT have taken PATNA... Ihad not even mentioned any branch at iit patna in my counselling sheet. Top 100 rankers prefer IIT_B & IIT-D not bcoz studies at IIT-K & IIT-Kgp r not uptomark but Bcoz exposure at DELHI & BOMBAY r bettr...Moreover i ve already told u dat u can ofcourse go 2 PATNA
But the risk I'm taking is MUCH SMALLER than the risk U r taking bcoz u knw well dat we both r taking risks by joining new IITs & leaving BITS(I can get EEE at BITS).

you are right very much
but we could not tell about conditions after 4 years that where will be better job options.
after all the hard working students get good placements either if u r in iit guwhati or iit roorkee or dekhi or any new iit.

you said roorkee and guwhati are worst performers for they got lower rankers iitian(may be not serious after going to iit) otherwise the student which are well performers got a high quality job even in iit guwhati example is last year guwhati student got a 32 lakh package

Well i'm guessing from ur words dat u r desirous of becomming an IITian moreso bcoz U r getting a v.gud branch(Elec.)...So if dats d case u shud without any doubt take Elec. IIT _Patna....Was it ur 1st chance???At dis AIEEE rank U can easily get IIIT Allahabad,and TOP 5 NITs wid a gud branch....Dont even consider Kurushetra????But choose IIT Patna as it seems dat u like Electrical...

In 2006 Mining student of ISMU got 44 lacs package & MTech Geophysics(Roorkee) got 40 lacs package and i knw both of them personally...I'm not tellin u wat others have told me...So bro if u knew dis fact b4 ur counselling wud u have chosen Geophysics(Roorkee) or ISMU??..Dont go by d highest placements...Even IP student last year got 25 lacs pack..(Kunal kumar)So shud u opt fer Indraprastha.??..U shud go through Average package & not d highest one..Average package of EEE BITS is ALMOST DOUBLE of Avg. package Elec. IIT Roorkee...The topper of EEE batch at BITS 08 has got 60lacs CITIBANK....Highest placement is NOT the criteria to choose a college my frnd

yes surily it was my first chance & there was my full input from last 2 years but unfortunately i got some big rank as i loose the marks on questions already done lots of time
so with inbuilt motive to go iit a child can not leave iit at any cost if he is getting a good branch.that's why i decide to go to iit patna.
now my most imp.question for me
how many students are there in your contact which have got iit patna with any of 3 branch.please reply me here or at my website www.sachingirdhar91@gmail.com
also what you know about patna city please tell me even if it is in disfavour of my choosing iit patna .

What u have told me about packages indicate that i know something more than u?but i didn't choose this for there ugly conditions of working place in refining or mining industries
what u have told is that i m 100% agreeed but there is knoe other chance bcoz i want iit tag & a good branch which i had got...
the only one lacking point is that there is know seniors support as well as it is new iit.......

I wud like to share wid u a fact wat a professional career counsellor told me...""If U want a Healthy package den choose EEE BITS,If U want to do MBA den choose IIT though if u do MBA it doesnt matter wheder U r an IITian or BitSian"" Wat he wanted to say was d possibility of getting a bettr package was higher at BITS den a new IIT considering equal hardwork at BITS & IIT-Hyd..It means we boh r intrstd in tag than money...I've lived at Patna fer 2 years....Today it is developing very fast ..Had U filled IIT Raj. or IIT-PUNJAB above PATNA or below ???..I wud really like to share ur Preferences at JEE counselling..If ill come across anyone goin to patna i wud definitely inform u..I'm from Lucknow(CMS) & it was nice chatting wid u too...
