its a myth that u prepare iit u will surely going to get aieee.......so if u have the capacity try for iit only..if not then try for aieee.any give little importance for iit......as u can give more time 4 aieeee and practise previous q asked in aieee and dce etc and refer trueman obj maths etc .......then surely going to get good rank in nit and good branch

The sullabus for iit/aiee is parallel, only the difficulty level is slightly different. You should try for both. With hard work it will not be difficult for you to do both. If you prepare for the subject throughly with fundamentals clear in your mind you will be able to appear for any competative exams. One should try all the possible avenues iit/aieee/bisat/etc.

u shud take maths as main for preparing both aieee gives more stress on it
but one thing is u can prepare for both . just keep the fundas clear u have got two years ,to prepare & lay a strong foundation of knowledge it will not only help in all competition exams but in engineering also.diff b/w JEE & AIEEE is that former requires deep concepts & understanding (not hi fi ones) and later one is some what based upon speed & accuracy.so if u prepare 4 jee & boards then u have got enough knowledge, what lacks is speed & way of looking at ques.
