Every body is commenting that Maths and Computing (M Tech), from IIT Delhi is tough. I may get this and I like programming and logic. Can any expert explain in which way it is difficult? Is it having huge work load and carry home assignments? Is the Mathematics part really very tough? Is it sustainable or not?
Kindly comment about the future career prospects of this branch. Pl inform what options are available after M Tech and what mostly ppl are doing after passing out?

still not satisfied



with my limited understanding i will say u are ask to calucalte the time compexity of the recursive algorithm where u are partially differntiating the matrix of vectors which contains info about manhattan distance and other statisitial parameters.


how this sounds?????







P.S i dont want to discourage anyone but these are the few examples which my brother tried on me

hey

well it is a tough branch .. no doubt bout it .. but then after all every year ppl pass out from here so it is no big hurdle as well ... just that u need to do a lot of hard work and labour.
but then the future prospects are indeed very bright and ppl mostly do jobs in banks, finance etc.

I was told by someone who did it from IIT-Kanpur that the Math part was quite abstract. If u hv a real flair for Math ( say the Olympiad variety), u wd be able to manage.
He didn't like it & got stuck with it. In fact, he had already done first yr Engg ( Electronics ) in a reputed Mumbai College ( Swami Vivekaananda ) before joining this course. at IIT-Kpr. He realized he had made the wrong choice.
This is not to discourage u. This is just a case in point.
