the tag is important only upto a certain extent,..
IITs are recognised ones so if u want to do MS or some phd later, it will be very beneficial.
but if placements are considered,.. it largely depends on ur performance over there,.. an average performer at IIT with a less opted stream may get the same as a average performer with a good branch at BITS or IIIT.. but if u perform good, the second option would be the best. A topper of elec or mech stream at BITS would certainly be better placed than an IITian with a poor branch.
decide accordingly, best of luck

prefer it bhu above bits pilani as both have equal status
and bhu may get (quite probably) iit status by the time you complete your studies
so leave bits and now think about iit and bhu
and more over iit tag do help all through your life, it will give you a feel good factor and living at iits blossoms your parsonality
so my choice

if u r too inclined towards computers then go to iiit
otherwise bits mech is the best option wid u.
of the options in iit, biotech is the only gud option.
go for it if u find bio interesting .
