how is production&industrial engg branch compared to other lower branches.
is it an interesting field to study and for research and what are its future prospects and placements.

i may get this branch at IIT roorkee. how does it compare to chemical or mech at bits pilani?

This is a good branch.
Job prospects are good. Will help u if u r planning to do MBA afterwards.

Prefer this to Mech at BITS-P.

its better than taking a branch like mech or chem at bits. The course is really practical and in demand. U get placements like people who do a mechanical from iits.
