The Cut-offs for the year 2007 in IITJEE for PCM are:

Maths    :1
Physics   :4
Chemistry:3

So cut off overall was : 1 + 4 + 3 = 8/480+

hey, 143 was just a coincidence as reported by TOI, a spoof article, i think. u even had some people getting 55% or something and not qualifying..
          Actually, as far as i've read, iit itself has not been able to explain correctly how they arrived at the cut-off they had explained!
