hey guyz n galz... Can u all plz. help me BY SUGGESTING whether i shud go for textile technology at iitd or play safe by going for civil at iitr.....do list all the pros and cons... also...what about chemical engineering at iit guwahati this , including me , may help several others... plzz.. take out ur precious time and do reply... expert opinion wud be acknowledged.. Thanx..

but i have heard from experts that textile at iitd is worth takin because there are more oppurtinities for higher studies in U.S. if we do our B.tech from iitd
plzz...i need some more replies...plzz goiitians..help me out..

I would prefer textiles at IITD.
You have heard right. There are more opportunities not only for studies in abroad but also placement wise. If I had been in your place, I would have never missed textiles at IIT D. After all, hardly 10 % land up in jobs what they have studied in IIT

exactly same here ..(rank-2663)..but i feel for us civil at iit-roorkee. will be best as it is considerd best in world..i have researched for it a lot in orkut.. and came to this..civil is at present on boom ..there is abt. 2 lakh crore rupees in this sector in mumbai alone ..lot of flyovers..so. i feel this will be great..

If you have strong inclination towards any particular branch then choose that. Else go for textile at IITD.
