Can AIEEE AIR 59385 get computer at NIT CALICUT , AIR 95585 get electrical ??????

AIR 59385 would not be even eligible for Central Counselling....how can he get computer at NIT CALICUT?????

I can't believe this.
However, "State Quota" means that in all NIT s , there is a reservation for all the states.....a minimum number of seats is alloted for the individual states.In AIEEE there are 2 ranks one is the state rank and the other is the AIR.Now suppose your rank is 1000 in your state.But your AIR is 1,0000 (It happens for many North East States like Nagaland,Manipur).Now maybe from Andhra Pradesh or U.P,somebody has an AIR < 20000.But since his state rank is back,so he may not get a seat in a NIT.It all depends upon the level of competition of the particular state.
But I guess there is a particular cut off set for all candidates .Isn't it?
This is confusing me too!!!!

Then is there some kind of corruption there??I am totally confused.

one possibility is that they included those from the NRI quota.
using NRI quota , I guess it can go that much.

Well when there are some seats left in the particular branch of an NIT, then sometimes the colleges take students directly into their branches on a first come first serve basis(ranks being the determining factor) but that takes place a lot later after the students have already got admitted.I guess that way it can be.But the closing ranks in all the branches are way behind than they should be.How can this be!!!!Specially NIT Calicut is one of the top NITs .
@iit rocks trmendous job,please see other NIT sites too and post it here.
I think the transparency if the admission system is going to be questioned now.

hey guyz i was 78000 in last year aieee i was eligible for conselling but nit calicut was nt even in my options
