Q.one ques in phys was about C,Si,Ge. At room temprature allthree have too small no of electrons to be noticed.ihave checked it man but still at fitjee ans is given as si,ge to have significant no of electrons.beware the word is SIGNIFICANT. What u all say?

xanthus it is a comparison between semiconductor and insulator.so ANSWER IS CORRECT.Si and Ge have more significant electrons than carbon that's it don't compare with conductor

u can check ABC chemistry(solid state) its also an ncert book or ABC physics in which it is given that fraction of electrons in the conduction band is e^ --Eg/kt Eg=agitation energy T=temp (298k) k=boltzmann const
