I don't think that offline counselling at AIEEE site is useful. If everyone exercises about 10 options the next rank person will see this as above him in all 10 options. So how realistic is that? Let me know if anyone has any details..

ACTUALLY..I AGREE....BUT U KNOW WAT..THIS IS NOT THE MAIN PROBLEM....THE PROBLEM IS...THT THE COUNSELLING TAKES INTO ACCOUNT THE A.I.R....HOWEVER IF U WANT A NIT OF UR STATE....UR STATE RANK SHUD B CONSIDERED...WHICH IS NOT THE CASE IN OFF CAMPUS ONLINE COUNSELLING....I FEEL ITS ALL CRAP...WAT I SUGGEST EVRY1 HERE IS....JUS HAV A LUK AT THE OR AND CR..OF 2006 AND U GET A VERY CLEAR IDEA OF WAT U WIL GET.....AND YES...DO HAV A LUK AT THE SEAT INFO OPTION AS WELL..THTS A HEART BREAKER.....1 OR 2 SEATS IN EVERY BRANCH FOR VARIOUS STATES...

The offcampus counselling considers ur state rank for all the NITs and BIT mesra but AIR for all other institutes eg IIIT etc.
In NITs and BIT the status shows how many students of our state are above us opting for the same choice........................
the offcampus counselling can be true only when every counsellee submitting choices take admission after attending the counselling on 7th july.. but practically it is not possible as some may go to other institutes like IIT, BITS, PEc etc....

Just out of curiosity, If we dont even register for this off campus crap, will we be considered for the main counselling?
