When the results are published you are given a state rank and an all india rank,based on which you are selected to varios colleges in various institutes throughout India.

nd if u r getting a gud state rank, nd poor AIR..u'll get a very gud branch.. in the NITs...provided ur state has suffecient number of seats in the NIT!!
