Aieee shocking figures

None

8.63 lakh students appearing in aieee 08 paper...

man thats so shocking last year 6.50 lakh wrote it ...

This is the last chance for all persons apperaing for aieee more than three attempts. From next year onwards only a maximum of three consecutive attempts would be allowed.

Please refer to 6.3 of AIEEE brochure.
The number of attempts which the candidate can avail at All India Engineering/Architecture Entrance Examination shall be limited to 03(three) uniformly for all the candidates in consecutive years.

One Time Exemption : candidate who have already availed three attempts or more will be permitted to appear in All India Engineering/Architecture Examination 2008 as a last chance.

Hmmm , so the selection ratio of IIIT-H is now about 2000/863,000 , far lower than IITs and BITS !!! Probably the lowest in the world!!!

(2000 as you need to be in the TOP 2000 ranks in AIEEE )

MY neighbour whose scored 29 / 360 got 2,24,567th rank out of 6.5 lacs students in AIEEE 2007

this means that more than 60% people score less than 10 %

these people just try to see the AIEEE paper

Dont talk abt poeple who score less in aieee disrespectfully....
the main reason is that they do not get proper environment...

Yes thats true.
Many parents want their child to be an engineer.They think its some kind of a lottery.

I do agree with you all.

Most of the guys appearing in it are not prepared for the exam.
