rates assured-BIT mesra better than NITs?

None

friends pls tell me how is BIT mesra compareed to NITs.do we need to apply for BIT mesra separately?and is BIT mesra a govt. institution?

BITS,mesra is reputedly one of the top ten engineering institutes in the country today.better than many nit.just go 4 it.

acc to me it is not better than top 3 nits (trichy warangal surathkal)..............although it is quite old deemed university.........and consistantly ranked as top ten for years

till last year bit mesra allotment took place thru aieee counselling.....dis year it hsnt yet been announced...so i cant be sure......im at BIT mesra......d campus is really vast...more dan many IITs.....no ragging.....very good environment........
nw it is certainly nt bettr dan NIT trichy,war,surathkal.........but its mech.. nd ece is really worth...nd cn be compared(especially mech...).....u may also check d placements in its official site:-

its a tuff one ithink it is equivalent to top three nits......the difference lies in the case of brand value only i believe.....people choose nits over bit because of its brand value........

NOT GUD AS NITS (ONLY TOP 3)

WAISE IT HAS BBA BCA ETC COURSE TO FOR WHCH BIT TAKES SEPARATE ADDMN TEST !

ENTRANCE IN B.TECH IS ONLY THRGH AIEEE!

Nope..BITS Mesra's repo has tekn a thrashing in recent years and it is no longer among the very cream of Indian colleges. There are about 20 other AIEEE colleges that would rank ahead of BITS Mesra

BIT Mesra makes it to top 15-20 colleges in India just after top 3 NITs and is roughly at par with DCE and PEC, maybe even slightly better.

dude i have many frns in nits and bit mesra and 4m wat i know,hav hrd and understood....BIT MESRA IS BETTER THAN ALMOST ALL NITS...APART 4M TRICHY,CALICUT AND WARANGAL....mesra mein thr r good placements wid a decent research input..plus forign collaboraions are thr...if u wana take ma advice then dont leave BIT mesra...its nxt only to bits pilani wn it comes to private instis in india

BIT mesra is a huge institute covering 728 acre (3.2^2 km)
so its a grand and very good institution so just join it never have a second thought

see.....bit mesra has its own reputation.....u cant simply say dat tis not better than nits.....it can compete d top 3 nits as well.....

I would prefer top 3 nits to BIT Mesra partly because of the NIT label.
