I hv secured admssn in DA-IICT , and will  surely get admssn in DJ sanghvi  ( EXTC or electronics). in BITS im in waiting list in 1st round , and my marks r 294.So i dont think ill get electronics in BITS . Do u think i shd wait for BITS  n take whatever subject i get there ? Or is DA-IICT good enough ? I feel DJ Sanghvi is lower standardwise compared to DA-IICT as i had prepared for IIT-JEE and other exams. Last date for cancelling DA-IICT admssn is 14th July. People say ICT is not a main stream nd has little scope later so better take electronics in DJ.  Please help me , i have no time and im really confused.

college name matters 25%, course 75%. (only when colleges are in same league)



but there is big difference b/n BITS Pilani and DAIICT. difference between DAIICT and DJ sanghvi, is even more......



joining one of BITS or DAIICT would be better. i guess b/n BITS Goa/hyd and DAIICT, choosing a good branch is more imp.



btw - how did u apply to DJ Sanghvi? is it thru MH CAP??

DAIICT is really coming up and already been ranked 12th by DQ and I don't think that it is an unfair ranking. As of now BITS Pilani is better however DAIICT has probably already over taken the Goa campus. Anyway, as of now BITS label has a stronger hold and it will stay strong in the future. DAIICT is expected to improve further however choosing it over BITS is somewhat risky. You can't compare DJ Sanghvi to these Top 20 colleges which itself probably does not make it even to the Top 100 or maybe even Top 200.

For MBA the college matters the most.

For MS or anything abroad the college matters a lot.

For pursuing further education or direct employment the course matter a lot as well.

I would say go for MSc Hons Dual at BITS Pilani

BITS label is greater than DAIICT. As of now anything in BITS is better than DAIICT however with the speed DAIICT is progressing probably anything below a Dual or BE in Pilani won't be as good as DAIICT in another 5 years provided the growth is not hampered.

Go for BITS in short. As of now it is good.

BITS GOA IF  YOU GET A BRANCH THERE

DAIICT may be ranked @ 12th by DQ but it doesnt deserve that rating {that crap survey has excluded most of the top colleges}

consider VITs case: it is ranked @ 10 by INDIA TODAY

people who dont get anything in AIEEE & STATE COLLS pay a 10 lakh donation and buy a seat in  VIT

so dont go by these stupid rankings and take advice from only those people who are in college or have just passed out {and profs related to the coll}

DAIICT does deserve a top 20 rank VIT does not even deserve top 40 rank.
