BITS-G
reasons:
1. BRAND
2.Better opportunities
3.Better Placements
4. Better infrastructure
5. Better scope for higher studies (though brand helps in this factor it also depends on u)
id say dont miss an opportunity to be bitsian
cheers

It wud b much bettr if u can find out da placements of Chemical batch of either pilani or goa campus... Scope of chemical looks far bettr on paper dan it really is.... Even my cousin wid dual degree in Chemical frm IIT-madras is workin in INDO GULF FERTILIZERS wid package same as BSc Agriculture students frm IT-BHU... It wud b much bettr to ask those who already are pursuing their career in Chemical.... Well i cant comment on Thapar Mech/ECE as i dont knw much bout it but definitely job prospects r generally bettr in ECE/Mech dan Chem.... Even frm pilani some 1 in 2nd year told me dat 2-3 students managed gud packages above 5-6 lacs but situation isnt gud fer others in Chem batch ... BITS is definitely a bettr brand dan Thapar... I knew only bout CHEM. branch so i told u... Im not supportin Thapar nd neither against BITS-goa so choose ur coll. carefully..... Even facilities nd campus lyf will b bettr at BITS... BEST OF LUCK by da way...

@ekns
I think chemical has a good scope------generally the highest placements are from chemical (arnd 40lacs--though it is international placement) and its scope is better than it was in the past

At US Chemical is da most-sought after Branch....but will it change the scenario in INDIA... to hope dat 40 lacs package can b fetched by taking Chem. ia a bit Risky....
As such 60lacs has been offered to EEE-pilani student by Citibank... so shud i also hope dat ill get da same after 4 years???
yeah agreed dat things r changin fer Chemical but nevr go by the HIGHEST package---IIT-B & IIT-D chem guys fetch 40 lacs not evry1 nd there too except 2-3 students others do hav to satisfy wid lower pays comparatively dan Mech,CSE,Elec. guys...

thanx 2 all for replying..... seeing ur replies nd after talking 2 chem enggs frm pilani campus ,i find dat chemical is not at all a bad branch but it depends on ones own performance .but still dont understand why avg package of chem is less than mech nd very low when cmprd wid ece nd cs.
once again thanx 2 all

@prat25..... avg. package is less bcoz except 2-3 students who fetch v.gud packages others hav to satisfy wid lower packages.... If u r determind to do MBA den whether u choose ECE or Chem. it wont matter..... But Yes Chemical avg. package generally doesn't exceed dat of EEE nd CSE ...
