NITT, as its an old one and has very good reputation. but, BITS-Goa is a fast growing institute

Well , I won't comment about which one is better as I have heard good arguments both ways.

But you might want to read this post by a 1st yearite in NIT-T:

I am a student of nit jaipur..

See what i feel is that bits goa is beeter then mosrt of the nit's but is equivalent to nit trichy..

now as far as bits goa is concerned what i feel is that in most of the nits the curicullum is quite relaxed and you can have fun along with studies and still get a great job . But in bits goa to get an equivalent job you will have to work much harder as it is a new college and its reputation is still building up in the market and being a private college has a much more tiring curicullum...

No , you don't really have to work hard becuase its a new college.

The entire academic system is same as Pilani's incl. textbooks , syllabus etc.

Curriculum is updated and quite new.You have a choice of optional courses, every semester, called electives which are often interesting (Eg. Image Processing, Robotics , Project Courses , Psychology , Effective Public Speaking etc. etc.Plz check the website for a complete list).
So if you take "tough" electives then yes you could have a hectic time.
Otherwise , BITS isn't particularly "tough" ; students get enough time to practice and participate in extra co-currics

Arey yar one of my known friend is in bits and i am in mnit jaipur so we talk to one another daily on phone and i know every aspects of both the collegs....

In mnit you have to attend classes regularly from 8 to 5 in the evenoing and you dont get time to study in normal days and have to study  only during the last days like 1 day before the exam..

But in goa there si no compulsory attendance and so nobody attends classes and study in thier room all semester long and give a very tough competetion..

Yeah , no compulsary attendance!!!

Thats what allows me to do time-pass stuff like posting here :)

Its true that attendance is like 50% in many classes , BUT can be 150% in some good profs classes(i.e. ppl from other sections also join).

There are on an avg 30 hrs of classes per week and that too spread out.It depends on the courses you have.

Well , yes campus life in BITS is quite relaxed(except during exams!!!) and you get a lot (and I mean a lot , like when you were in 5th std or so) free time to pursue a wide range of hobbies , sports etc.
BITS sees that as an important part of a student's life , so it doesn't go overboard by making attendance compulsary ,keeping frequent tests etc.

Well it depends upon a lot of factors.

You should make this decision based on what courses you are getting , what your interests are etc.
Best to leave this question for later on.

Btw , the Goa Campus already has a good reputation ;it will only get better.
