guyzzz which of these branch is better in terms or future scope, placements and prospects ??????

also if i plan to do an mba afterwards which 1 wud be better????

i might get 1 of these in thapar........

i wud say take ice ..but civil is on boom rite now..cant say wat after 4 years..

i hd already briefed u abt d advantages of ice earlier..

& definitely ice is better than civil..thapar me i don't think many girls opt 4 civil too..go 4 it if u gt dere widout a 2nd thought..

wat is ur rank,hv u been alloted anything dere in d 1st counselling?

both branches cnt be compared .. every one has itz own advantages .... chose whatever u feel like but do keep the clg in mind .. sumtymes however being a girl ... ice wud be better for u
for mba branch dusnt matter .. even pol sci ppl do mba so no pnt in asking which branch is better

look thapar has record of 100% placement of civil, i don't know anything abt ice. even if u do mba after doing civil u can easily get into a consultancy firm. look i just wanna say one thing no matter wat branch u opt for, if u do well its ur name in fame.

i told u na .. bbranches cnt be compared like that .. overall if u r chosing a branch which has a wide scope itz always gud - better is more of a matter of preference ..had it been my opinion i wud say civil is more interesting fr me .. but ya ur clg matter to luk whr u getting these

Civil is currenlty on a boom and should stay for the next 4 years however not forever.

i hd my cousin passing out 4rm ece(ice)..he hd been plcd in sisco..he said dat d faculty is awesome..

& it's nt lyk dat, u hv 2 come down to a conclusion,u urself hv to c ur interests..if d girl part doesn't matter u,then 4gt abt it..placments r gud 4 both & also most of d engineers do mba which i think cn b done wid any branch..civil is a booming field wid lots of constructions & al coming up,and ece u knw is also a generalised branch,so go wid d branch u r more comfortable wid,others cn only tel u abt d placements part,rest it's uptu u,coz ur efforts wil finally help u to gt placed in a gud company & stuff!!

Hai ,

- I mysely got Civil at IIT madras and so can tell ya that its gonna be in boom for next 15-20 years...this is what IIT BOMBAY proffs. told me during my counselling.....I m sure they know far better than us...Civil was my 3 option after CSE and Electronics...which i did not get as i ranked 1972...

go for civil yaar ...ull get a handsome package after doing ur MBA...DONT WORRY ABOUT GIRL THING..

Just remember that you will be in the peak of your career only 15-30 years later when the boom would have gone or would be about to go.

hey akshay this is for u ...

- First thing is that it is highly improbable that u pursue a job in ur discipline...and 15-30 years...

ok i suppose u graduate from college when ur 22 years old...in Next 2-3 years u do ur MBA ie ur 25 ...

now acc to you u have to b 20 + 30 = 50 years old to be at peak of ur career...my friend thats time when ur settled and about to retire...so dont take in negative way but ..id say we are at peak of career when we are 30-35 years old...

--- That is the reason i d suggest go for civil until u get CSE or chemical ...
