may bee 44 lakh package was given ofcampis so it wasnt included in the official data..

it was in TIMES OF INDIA & a local hindi newspaper dat [talking bout latest placement]
from all india highest package iz 4m IIT -KHARAGPUR which waz 36OR 39 LAC.
[don't remem d actual 36 or 39]
but it waz 4m IIT -KHARAGPUR
i m sure bout it

Most colls. above have highest $100,000 by Schlum , which they end up calc as 41 , 42 , 43 , 44 lpa etc.
But highest and lowest are largely meaningless.You should see avg Domestic(in Rs) and avg Intl(in $)
