Today the 1st seat allotment matrix was released, and I got Mech in NIT Kurukshetra. Even though its ranked at no 33, above institutes like CIT (Coimbatore), SSN, VIT, etc.. I don't know if it's good. Is it a good institute?
I also want to know how many such lists will be released? Will there be a second and third matrix? If so, when will they be released? How are these matrices designed? If someone can give me good insight into these issues, I will definitely salute you.

hey i also wanna confirm wat actually is first seat allotment matrix.....is it so that ill get surely the branch and istitute given in first matrix ??

a trick to avoid run time errors. continue clicking the same head till u get the link. as for seat matrix ,it is reviewed every 3 or 2 days. maybe today we can get another indication. (though am not 100% sure).

SEAT ALLOTMENT MATRIX IS PREPARED ON THE BASIS ON THE CHOICES SUBMITTED BY EVERY COUNSELLEE.. IF A PARTICULAR PERSON'S FIRST PREFERENCE IS AVAILABLE(I.E. THERE IS NO OTHER ABOVE HIM/HER) THEN ,IF THERE IS ONLY ONE SEAT IN THAT INSTITUTE AND BRANCH IN STATE QUOTA THEN NO OTHER OPTER WILL GET THE CHOICE (I.E. NOT AVAILABLE)..........
IF THE PARTICULAR BRANCH IS NOT AVAILABLE THEN THE SAME PROCESS IS REPEATED FOR THE NEXT CHOICE UNTILL AN INSTITUTE IS AVAILABLE .........IF A CHOICE IS AVAILABLE THEN THE REMAINING CHOICES R NT PROCESSED THUS CREATING A CHANCE 4 OTHER COUNSELLEES OPTING THE SAME CHOICE WITH LOWER RANK...........
HOPE U UNDERSTOOD IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO STATE IT LIKE THIS........

what vinyas is saying is absolutely right . i have got INST 'n CONTROL at JALANDHAR-NIT but people say that it is not 100% right . for that we have to wait till 23-24-25 june as till that time almost evryone will have exercised his/her choice . ....................................... and vinayas u r surely gettin a rate frm me
