hi i am appearing for bitsat this week and i had a few general queries....

- i would like to know wats d diff betwn bits-goa nd bits-pilani....i mean faculty wise and placement wise..

i know bits pilani is obviously better but wat r the major diff in them and is bits goa worth giving a try for in comparision to nit-trichy or suratkal??

-how is bits for girls...like in iits u have a ratio of nearly 25:500 betwn gals n guys.....is the scenario similar in bits??

- if supposing i make it to bits pilani and nit getting the course i want in both then wat shld i go for? bits or nit??

hi supriya..the major difference between bits pilani and bits pilani goa campus is that bits goa has been established in 2004 and it is relatively new...faculty wise there is not much of a difference bcaz many teachers were transferred from pilani campus to goa campus..the course structure is same..n placement wise too pilani holds a edge over bits goa bcaz its new..bt the placements at bits goa hv been good n campus is growing very fast..n bits goa is definitely worth giving a try in comparison to nit trichy and surathkal bcaz i hv got many friends here in bits -pilani goa campus who left nit trichy and nit surathkal for bits goa and they r not dissatisfied.. n even i had this susceptibility when i was abt to join bits-goa bt believe me all that vanished the moment i entered the campus...and one more thing u jst close ur eyes and go for bits pilani..nits r gud bt not in the grade of bits and u wud realize it if u happen to join bits..i am not exaggerating anytng jst bcaz i am a student of bits..but this is the reality..and for more info about bits..go to www.bits 360.com.i tnk u will get over ur apprehensions..best of luck for ur bitsat and hope to see u in bits.

BITS-pilani is THE BEST. period. i dunno much about BITS-goa but its not bad at all...though obviously not in league with pilani..NIT-trichy is really good...

in fact, given a choice...i would go for NIT trichy rather than BITS-goa coz goa's still new while trichy's got a reputation and is without a doubt excellent....it would be better if you could talk with a student of BITS-goa..he/she could give you accurate guidance.....

and yeah...dont listen to relatives much unless they happen to be  connected to the instis....
