see it entirely depends on u .. how badly u want to get into a good engineering colege .. if u are ready to put in atl;east 12 hrs or more on studies for the next 1 year then only think about dropping .. otherwise DONT .... theek hai ??
keep it plain and simple .. in ur preparatios .. follow books like hc verma , tmh , ncert and keep ur aspirations strong and sincere

let me advise you not to drop a year and think "1 year thats too much in this time i will surely become an expert and crack iit/aieee/bits etc." instead you join some college and since the first semester has mainly syllabus comprising of the topics for entrance exam ....so it is like competition in which case u would get to know ur potential... believe me i have seen students droping an year, even two years and ending up in a miscellaneous college .....and then realising tht they had wasted their precious years

Hi, If you have the fire to get into the best, drop and prepare thoroughly. This time around, remove all your weak points which you should have identified by now. Use Das Gupta and Arihant for Maths and Arihant again for Chemistry. Also use R C Mukerjee for Chemistry.
If you think it'll be hard for you to persevere, then take the best available college and branch this year itself. But nothing compares to IITs, and it will help you lifelong!
