Hi i have got through in engineering physics(4 yrs) and electronics branch in nit surathkal.
Which one should i opt for...please help.

IIT G, although u shd gt something in IIT kanpur and delhi too

i have got a seat in iit guwahati now (engineering physics ) and in NIT surathkal.
Which one should i opt??
i dont know the scope of engineering physics.....
can anybody help??

it is more like research side i think. even if u r decent and u r from IIT then any branch gets placed, same for DCE PEC etc.

But my problem is ,i have to get into research field if i opt for iit....because i am being told that there will be very less placement opportunities for engineering physics...in case if i opt for electronics and electrical in NIT surathkal i will have more placement opportunity...this is what is told by my friends....im in great confusion over this...

ur frnds have said rite...Electronics offer u a better placement, if u do well in col...n all of da gud comps that cum 2 IITG will also go to NIT S....So, placement wise , u hav a better bet in NIT S n if u go for Eng Phy, just dont even think of placements....go for higher studies...n ya, dont believe in guys who run blindly after IIT Brand...Brand helps only in GRE, that 2, only 2 sum extent.
As fr ur q, no, i dont think E n CSE comps will consider u, unless u r very gud in programming or such...
