NIT Trichy is definitely better than Anna. The major reason wud be the student quality . Admission for NITT is through a highly competitive exam AIEEE. But for AU admission is purely based on board marks. So majority of the students in Anna wud be mugpots and bookworms (dis is my opinion). Regarding infrastructure and placements both are equally good. Regarding faculty Anna is not so good bcoz I heard that professors wud be taking classes only once in 15 days or so.

NIT Trichy, mainly because of its student quality. and, infrastructure in NITT is somewat better than at anna (though there's not much difference) and student life is better at NITT. Anna university enforces some unwanted strictness on students.

All the above r right. Student quality is damn better in NITT. But i feel tht anna is more famed. But i hate tht college....... All mugpots and bookworms frm state board.

yea i too agree. i jus wanted opinion 4m ppl.
the only advantage if at all at anna is probably that it's located at chennai(4 those who r staying in chennai) if at all one is particular about staying at home.

NITT>ANNA anyday......

there are restrictions lyk no mobiles n stuff in anna.....(students do smuugle in mobiles).....

yep mug-pots fill those seats.....guys from ma skoooooool with cut-0ff around 198.75 r vyin for those seats n believe me they cant solve the simplest probs in phy or maths.....n their chem is the worst.....
