it is an upcoming field.
its situation is same as that of biotechnology and as far as i knw, its a good field to choose but the thing is u will have to do further studies too and job prospects are more in other countries!!

Remember Cedric. Remember, if the time should come when you have to make a choice between what is right and what is easy, remember what happened to a boy who was good, and kind, and brave, because he strayed across the path of Lord Voldemort. Remember Cedric Diggory.

Well , of course its an upcoming field. Lots of new companies are making it big in this sector(BioCon , etc.)
Apart from the IITs' BioEngg course , BITS's MSc. Bio Sci is an extremely good option , if you are inetrested.Gen Engg + Pracs is taught as a separate subject in MSc. Bio Sci.

Well not in BITS.
You can do MSc. Bio Sci without maths(i.e. opt for PCB in BITSAT)
However , I don't think you'll be eligible for a BE dual.But I must confirm this.
