yar ab dhek daiict me jo baccho ka caliber hai vo to nit and iiit ke bachho ke barabar hai but being a new institute it will take time to develop.

what i mean to say is that if you are getting a choice to have a seat in 2 institute which according to you are of the same reputation and you dont know much about both the institue but you just have an idea/myth/reumor that both are just the same then go for the one which is older....

me from 1st year nit jaipur if u want to know anything abt my collg then do let me know...

Well i am right now studying in DA-IICT in 1st year well this yr i got admn in IIIT Allahabad-A Campus and still pref to join DA-IICT(though after jng and spending 3 weeks there in IIIT :P) hmm was in NIT KKR too last yr with branch i dint like anyways the point is

DA-IICT is a full fledged University recognized by UGC and universities surely dont need AICTE approval ( and well ISB is also not AICTE recognized ) it has courses ranging for Btech to MTech to Phd :)

Wel abt not being able to do further studies it's plain BS

i personally know 5-6 seniors of DA-IICT doing MBA from IIM and well figure of people doing MBA from IIM and other good CAT colleges in india from DA-IICT is arnd 40-50 ( note keep this in mind that only 3 batches of DA-IICT has passed till now ) { see the alumni page below if u dont blv me :-) }

Well and yup we have got awesome faculty u cannot compare faculty of daiict to any other college including nit and iiit(except hyderabad) we have some of the finest phd teaching from some of the best univ in the world from UC Berkeley (Prabhat Ranjan ) to some of the best VLSI prof ( DNC sir who has no of acclaimed books to his credit)

Now the figure of ppl doing further studies in US from DA-IICT is arnd 60-70 (trust me figure is not inflated see that DA-IICT intl students community on orkut ) and this is when only 3 UG batch have passed . People from daiict are there in UFL , UC Berkeley , Georgia tech and other gr8 us Univ

and well you know what because of really exceptional course structure and study culture ( you know what there is very little rote way of learning here numericals in paper only , some times objectives too to check u r concepts unlike in NIT where u hv to mug like hell )

People from DA-IICT have been winning India edition of Microsoft Imagine cup for the past 2 years and representing india in the World Finals :

We have been winning TI DSP design contest (one of the most prestigious contest for the past 3 years )

and well about placements hmm well we had we had arnd 30 cos coming to the campus including Microsoft & TI . Placement is 100% and well it's NOT MANDATORY TO JOIN RELIANCE after u passout of DA-IICT they take only those ppl who r not placed in any other cos .

Campus is as good as good can be , Awesome Library which is open till 12 in night and finally most imp all students r from Open Category < 8000 rank unlike nit which i guess wud b having 25-40 % ppl from Reserved category this year.

and yup did i mention there is almost non-existent ragging(at least compared to NIT and IIIT where i hv been)

Now well most imp abt Rank u need to be < 9000 to get admn here. People here are with rank from 2000 to 9000 though avg hovers arnd 7K mark

I dont know if ur claim that technical universities need not require AICTE true or not............but if thats the case i assume daiict must be a good university

No , technical universities DO NOT require AICTE approval.Google about AICTE and you'll see many articles supporting this.

Hmmmm abt Fees well fees is 30K per sem + 7500 Hostel fees

There is no mess system and you can purchase whatever you want from the food court [:)]

And yup an update this year too out of the 8 teams selected for microsoft imagine cup national finals 2 teams are from DA-IICT ( One team is entirely of DAIICT students and other has 2 memebers from CMI )

for CSE, IIIT-HYD is a very good inst., better than thapar and all NITs.
