There are 600 seats not 150. And the selection is done on the basis of merit of jee. Jee people have given the ranks after 7200 to iist and iiser. So the applicant with higher rank will be taken. It has a okay salary. But Very Large future. If you Have No Other option like Nit Or Bits Then Go To iist. You Get A certified job in ISRO And Your Pathway To Nasa Is Also Open. Rate Me PLZZ.

hey Ricksoft_7777....if u don't know, atleast don't misguide people... for u Sahil, here comes the reply.... first of all, IIST has 200 seats.....it is calling 600 students for counselling.... the top 600 of the combined merit list which will be prepared on the basis of the students who register themselves for the same..... one more thing..it is clearly written on their website that they will be taking students freom the JEE merit list and not just the EXTENDED merit list...JEE merit list includes the extended merit list students and those who have got ranks.....for the rankers who don't take admission in IITs, BHU and ISM Dhanbad are allowed to register.....

one more thing i must clarify...only those who seek assistantship in education i.e. scholarships, will have to sign the bond with ISRO which is for 5 yrs...otherwise there is no bond for others...

and sumthg which i wud lik 2 add is......sumthg which is connected wid iit....be it jus the entrance wudnt b lik ..not worth...its a gr8 option....but u wil hav 2 keep in mind tht future prospects of space engineering are better abroad than here in india.... and yes...in ISRO pay scale is lowww....its a job high on reputation (being a space scientist/engineer...wud b a respectable thg)....but low on money..(only til u r here in india)...but also...u never know....4 yrs is a lot of time ...and this field has to come up ...so may b til u pass out the scope of space engineering bcoms gr8 in india as well....and yes....the campus isnt yet established....

i absolutely agree with ramya_kapoor......i wud like to add that the campus wud take 2 yrs to get complete as per the website, till then the campus wud be Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre...it doesn't get better than that....world class facilities in VSSC....definetely better than those at IITs....

Always be just and unbiased in your opinions and also say them aloud, even if it means the majority of the world to go against you!!
There will be still some left, who will approve of your character and one of them is God!!!
