IT is better dan mech. but it depends on ur interest
mech. is evergreen fiel n its booming
on d other hand IT demand is decreasing
wid mech. u can get jobs in both comp. as well as mech. line

yes i agree wid vaibhav mech is evergreen and IT demand increase or decrease.............even if u want to change branch then go for cse or ece

IT and CSE are mostly the same except small differences(or big depending upon the college) however CSE has more brand power.
CSE>=IT>Mech

I ll pick mech over IT
Mech like everybody says is evergreen but it has core potential
plus in IT the field is more spread and people from no good colleges can beat u for a job because people in fields like CS or IT are not much college dependant as a mech engg. People who work hard on their own can still beat u and 4 yrs down no one would look at u while u sit their in ur college with ur aieee rank
