electronics and intrumentation is a good enuf branch......since its a branch of the core subject electrical.....and yaa nit h ka pata nahin
nit kkr has good reputation
aur nit jalandhar has a very bad reputation...

Arrey i am from kkr and dont call it underdeveloped area , yes city is ok not good but chandigarh is 2 hours away and Delhi is also 2 hours away .
Railway station is only 20 Minutes with rickshaw and there are trains between delhi and kkr throughout the day
Also Haryana is one of the cleanest areas and crime/corruption is very less.

suna hai ki infrastructure aur hostel facilities are very poor...aur placements bhi khaas nahin hote...

You can join NIT KKR and instrumentaion is great branch instrumentaion is major pert of electrical engineering and of course the prospects are with designing and maintainace with public sectors or DRDO or else you can get in to Software
