Hey guys,im rahul and i have got my cbse results as i am in madras.my pcm marks are as follows:

maths-96

phys-93

chem-92

engli-80

compscie-89

Will i get a seat in anna if normalization is there for cbse.Please tell the cut off marks to enter into anna 4 cbse only.

Share ur marks here(cbse) and please dont envy each other

as knowledge is more impo than marks

am i right?

CS 84 i should get 95 !! :(
E 75 i should get 85 !! :(

So Should I apply for Anna Univ

According to what i heard,we CBSE students will get added one mark by Normalisation.The cut-off is said to be around 197 for them.Hence for us,it is 196.

If you seriuosly feel you wont get thro' in AIEEE or BITS or any other college,you can apply.

If your total comes below 190,i seriously doubt if you will get into a proper college.

Time is there till June 5th i suppose.Just wait till the AIEEE results are out and then take a decision.That will be better.

The marks in maths is taken out of 100. Then the Chemistry and Physics marks are added up and divided by two (so that it is also converted to a base of 100). The total marks would then be the score against a base aggregate of 200.

This is how the cut off is calculated...

Cut off - 81+ (84+87)/2
= 81 + 84
= 165

Add one mark...it becomes 166..tat is ur mark

Here are my marks :

English - 94
Mathematics - 99
Physics - 93
Chemistry - 89 ( muffed it badly)
CS - 92

My total comes to 191(/200)

If you are BC or something, then you have a good chance of CE, Guindy. I am not FC, so am keeping my fingers crossed.

Well u should! If not anna univ then go for MIT madras or PSG Coimbatore.
