hey
my friend applied this year to MIT...though he got rejected
but from wat i know of MIT
its is definetly very tuff....and MERIT is not the only criteria(though it is the main criteria)
they consider the following things about u:
1)ur SAT score...toefel
2) ur educational background...that is ur school..ur state ...mainly...mayb ur college if applicable
3)this is the most important...and is where most applicants fall out....EXTRA-CURRICULAR...for example being a national/international player in any sport gives u an edge...
Fee structure is very high for an average indian
And getting a scholarship isnt that easy...cuz only 25% students manage a scholarship...and being a non-american doesnt get u any preference...ur scholarship is renewd on yearly basis...based on ur GPA
very dicouraging i kno....
but in the end ITS WORLD'S BEST!!!!
P.S DO NUDGE ME IF U GET THROUGH:D
