apply for all courses at BITS, you might get MSc (dual degree, BE and msc)... if you dont get MSc, then think of dropping...
Manipal is decent too. dont let your dad's expectations ruin you.
nobody except you can decide if you are suited to drop a year. can you study the same stuff again? can you work hard? can you see your friends enjoy college life while you slog it out? If yes, then drop. If not, join manipal. trust me, my friend (dropped a year) and he is in a bad situation now, he has no option left apart from manipal (his rank is 500) inspite of being extremely intelligent and being a potential top 2000 IIT.
he just screwed his exam up. remember, your hard work wont matter if you screw up on ONE day...

Nanudada, I'm not sure if I get the drift of yr message. Are u saying that yr dad wants u to drop as he is very keen on IIT ? Typically, it's the other way around. The child wants to take a drop but the parents are against it. If yr parents are urging u to drop, I don't see why not. Drop out, slog for 8-10 hrs a day & give IIT yr best shot. If u can't work hard & can't work to a plan, it's a different ballgame altogether. Forget about IIT in that case & go ahead with Manipal/BITS.

thats really up to u......i agree with zenith DROP----if u want to drop then i think the best option is to go to kota and work hard with the goal that just one more year ka hardwork and then i will have a superb life in iit......for this extreame hard work is required....which u will automaticallly do wen u see others working in kota......the success % of dropouts is astounding...in kota...ask any damn person of kota....ny passout of the gr8 bansal... NOT DROP---explore other options....which others have explained well.....like executioner

Don't study on your own because you can't then decide your position. Now as you know all the topics what you need is a good competition. So you can stay even in Delhi(or go somewhere else like KOTA) and search for a good institue where there is some gr8 repeaters batch with high number of students. Boss, Hope u've already tried out VMC. If u can join their classroom coaching, u may stay in Delhi itself. They don't overload u with classes & commuting to & fro daily. Next try Bansal Classes at Delhi. Only if both don't work out, try for Kota-based institutes. If u're going to stay on yr own in Kota, u need to have a good self-control.
