IT is just like CS although the label is not there. Besides, there is a good chance of being a decent number of drop out seats, so take IT and then hope to upgrade to CS through drop out seats

At MNIT only 210 out of the 780 candidates were present for the counselling so, it is clear that drop out seats will be negligible......... do not rely on them.......
but IT at MNIT is also good.
IT at MNIT usually closes under 4000. r u from Rajasthan?????????????

there is no generally closes. That depended on the state and this time it is AIR. IT at NIT Jaipur should go around 5500-8000.
Also, expect drop out seats because many people getting IITs and/or BITS and/or something else do turn up including me and all my known to's however none of us plan to stick with the AIEEE seat post first counseling.

@akshay talwar Why would a student who has got a seat in IIT or BITS attend AIEEE counselling??????? either he has got a lot of money to waste or he too confused to be an engineer
u have to give a DD of 15000 Rs to attend the AIEEE counselling(for ur information)
I too didn't attended the AIEEE counselling. AIR 1417 in AIEEE so how can u expect drop out seats in top 5000?????????????

I am 100% sure that I won't go outside Delhi and AIEEE has no seat in Delhi. Yet I am going for counseling. Rs.15000 is not important for my parents.
Another friend with AIR 9400 and BITS 318 is going to counseling.
Another friend with AIR 13k who already has got admission in RVCE is going for counseling.
Another friend who has 34k and deciding btw IPU and Manipal, CSE in both is also going for counseling.
Many people go for counseling and later drop out.

give me an example of a person in top 5000 in AIEEE who has got a seat in IIT but still attended the AIEEE counselling?????????????
How can u advice the above person to rely on the drop out seats out of the top 5000, when we all know that only those person out of the top 5000 attend the counselling who will surely go in AIEEE as they have no better option.......
