can anyone tell me what is the use of state rank in aieee.well i am from delhi state so i dont find any use of it.

state rank is very imp for getting into the nit of ur respective state ..........not only that a very goos state rank can also fetch u seat in other nit's...............so its state rank and not AIR that matters

hey i dont really understand it ,it must be the air that fetches u seat in nit .for eg if i wanted to join some nit which is not in my state then it must be the air that matters not the state rank.

no.. it is the state rank which matters as some fixed seats are alloted to evry state
|

AIR matters only when u want to get into IIIT's, DA-IICT, etc.
but, if u want to get into any NIT, its ur state rank tats of importance and ur AIR is of NO importance.
