Were the questions more theory like, direct application of formulas(CBSE type), tricky questions needing 2 or more formulas, or hardcore JEE level problems?

no hardcore jee problem n remember in jee also u dont get real tough problems!! they were a mixture of everythin ...the aim shud b to have everythin in mind quickly ol formulas n ol!!! best of luk

very straight......evn ma mock jee tests wer tougher.....chem was gud.....PHY was too easy.....nothin hard core ab physics....math was a breeze.....
nd yes most qs were CBSE type

So if one does ONLY 11th and 12th NCERT Book perfectly(theory and problems), he can get >350(assuming he is good at English and Log reasoning)?

sure dude.....
but try jee probs......m sure dat oly ma jee prep helped ma bitsat.....m frm state board (tn--nd mind u it sux!!!!)....so practise hard fr jee.......
nd i ended up vth 324 in bitsat......it was a easier than ai3e.......frnds of mine who dint even qualify in jee nd got worse ranks than me in 3e got atleast 10-15 maks more than me in bitsat.......all were frm CBSE!!!!

the level of probs :
bitsat is in between AIEEE nd CBSE
it is tym based.....SPEED MATTERS AS MUCH AS YOUR APTITUDE :P

many ques in phy and chem were one liner type.....overall standard of paper was comparable to 12th standard cbse paper
