Not 100% sure but overall probably/hopefully:
LNMIIT>NIT KKR>NIT Raurkela>NIT Surat
Even if KKR is better at the moment, the private environment and maybe growth of LNM should negate it in the next few years.

Amity is crap. ITM is just about acceptable. I have no interest in LNMIIT or DAIICT. However DAIICT is coming up really fast and LMNIIT isn't bad either. They are better than many NITs, esp DAIICT is better than most NITs. DAIICT is usually ranked within the top 30 and there are not many NITs in the same range. LNMIIT or Jaypee aren't leagues heind it either, although I admit that DAIICT is definitely better.
I can get BVP CS through money(which is not even an object) if I want, that won't make me choose it because I don't want to. I don't want to go abroad to study, that doesn't mean that I am saying that Ivy League isn't leagues ahead of almost all indian engineering colleges.

I feel NIT should be preferred over LNMIIT, as apart from brand value of NIT's , gud infra & funding will make NIT's stronger where as LNMIT being pvt. may not compete atall with NIT's, moreover problem of AICTE approval. So if you are getting Computer/Electronics in NIT's say KKR,SURAT, ROURKELA etc, it should be preferred over LNMIIT.So,
NIT KKR>NIT Raurkela>NIT Surat>LNMIIT

NITs have a brand value only for the best ones. NIT Srinagar is not respected. LNMIIT will have a stronger brand value in the future. Anyway, your wish.
Infra and faculty wise good private colleges are lightyears ahead govt colleges.

Ofcourse I have not said NIT Srinagar is better than LNMIIT, I have only compared NIT's mentioned by the author. Otherwise NIT W,T,S are far better undoubtly than LNMIIT.
Reg infra in LNMIIT, it is nothing comared to NIT's . probably Electronis & Comm. is being introduced for first time in LNMIIT(check it?), if so its future is unknown, Labs may not be well established , no guidance of seniors.
Keep these points in mind before taking a decision.

NIT Surat ain't that great either. Anyway, infra should be good as they have the money and the infra of DAIICT, Jaypee, BITS good private colleges are usually superb. So I am expecting LNMIIT must be doing something equally good too. AFAIK the faculty there is really good, at least they are really qualified.
