PLEASE SOLVE THE FOLLOWING EQUATION: 3 4H + 18H - 2 =0

here is the solution , but i dont think IIT will ask cubic equations given equation is 4H^3+ 18 = 2 which can be written as H^3 + 9/2 = 1/2 take 2 variables x, y such that 3xy = 9/2 x^3 - y^3 = 1/2 now u can solve for x, y from here as we will get a equation which wil be easily converted into quadratic form. after that the solution of the equation will be H = x -y. put it in the main equation to check the result. regards.

To solve cubic equations use following tips: Let  ,  ,  be the roots of the cubic equation a0x3 + a1x2 + a2x + a3 = 0, then  +  +  = - (a 1/a 0) .......(1) now solve equations (1), (2) and (3) to find the roots.

mr . edison , try it again u will again generate the same equation , cubic equations are specially solved , remember it , they arent going to be solve by the way u have listed , again same equation will be generated
