It actually depends on the question. To take it out of context will be very difficuly. Did you have a question in mind?
I'll try to give an example..
Suppose you have a question. Sum up
C0 + C1/2 + C2/3 +... Cn/n+1
Here what you do is you consider a function.. (1+x)n
represents the question that is given.. That you can get by expanding binomially and integrating each term.. Now what you do is you integrate by another method, i.e. taking 1+x as t. And then place the limits..
The trick in such questions is to identify the form in which the question given can be converted so that it is easily integrable.. If there's some mistake in this question pls tell me, but it's tough making questions from scratch.. If you have a question in mind, I could help you better.
