Prove that if n is odd, then the sequence contains an odd number of odd numbers.

now i think the RHS is an odd number and hence the LHS is also an odd number.

tell me whether it is correct or not?

just one even no. in the prod is enough to make it even......'......so if we see the question...............n-1 which is an even no appears every where except for nC1 ..... thus odd no. of odd nos ar there...........................pls correct me if im rong

i just want to add to what venkat wrote:

suppose we have even number of odd numbers in that series,we get that LHS is an even number which is a contradiction to the fact that 2^n-1 is odd.

given = 2^n-1 - 1 which is odd hence odd no of odd nos cos even no odd nos will make given even
