Geeta is celebrating her birthday tomorrow. Next year, she will reach an age three times that of dau

Geeta is celebrating her birthday tomorrow. Next year, she will reach an age three times that of daughter Sunita 11 years ago. Last year at this time, Sunita was exactly half of her age. How old is Geeta today?

let the age of geeta when she celebrates her birthday tommorow be x

and sunita be y.

so, accd. to the ques.,

x = 3(y-11).

x-3y = -33.

x - 2 = 2 (y-2)

x - 2y = -2

x -3y = -33

so, y = 31.

x = 3 (20) = 60.

present age = x-1 = 59.

answer is 59 yrs.

if geeta's 62, then next year she wud be 63 and sunita - 33.

according to the question, next yr, geeta wud be 3 times sunita's age 11 years bak.

63 is not equal to 3*(33-11)

age of sunita is 34 yrs and that of geeta is 67 years ,see we will form 2 equations ,itz a bit tricky first add 1 year to both their ages , then just making equation using above relation in x and y ,solve the 2 variable equations and get the answer , ih poe it is correct

Let Geeta's age today be x.

Let daughter sunita age today be y.

Daughter Sunita 11 years ago was y-11.

x+1 = 3(y-11)

x-1 = 2(y-1)

If we solve these two equations we get x = 65 years and y = 33 years.

So today geeta's age is one day less than 65 years.
