a person gets more than 94 percent votes but less than 100 percent .how many least votes are cast.the options are 17,12,47.97.is there any algebraic method.

for getting 94-100% , there shd be atleast 1 -ive vote. so 1 vote shd form 0-6% . To have least no. of votes, we shd take 1 vote as a value closest to 6. so the reqd. no. is [100/6] =17

i think the answer is 12 because 95% of 12 is 9 i.e. an integer which satisfies all conditions and is the least possible value. But i would like to know ur method a bit more in details nadeemoidu
