Suppose that s1, s2, s3, . . . is a strictly increasing sequence of positive integerssuch that the subsequencesSs1 , Ss2 , Ss3 , . . . and Ss1+1, Ss2+1, Ss3+1, . . .are both arithmetic progressions. Prove that the sequence s1, s2, s3, . . . is itself anarithmetic progression.

didn't understand the question do you mean by s1 it is the sum of ss1 or something else. Can you please elaborate the question
