It depends dude which degree equation u r solving. There r a lot of methods, like calculus etc. If u wanna ask, ask a particular ques.

using hit and trial: first randomly choose any value which will satisfy the equation and then factorize it accordingly which reduce it to the lower degree equation, if u can give example then i can solve it

rational roots theorem can be a help if the equation has rational roots. If it has irrational roots the you can not solve without using a computer.

to solve this type of equation,you will need to study comprehensive and Arihant,methods are given in these books,you can learn from there,here the explanation is not possible.....
