i dont think the qsn is complete
take
a= 6 b =3 c= -(1/3) d = -(2/3)
both eqns will satisfy.. so a+b can have more than 1 value..

yeah hash includee is rite you just have 2 equations and four unknowns  a+b can take many values is there any other restricting condition plz check up!!!
