for unit's digit::::::2 x 3000= 600 0.... i.e. unit digit of x is 0
ten's digit::::::2 x 2999+600 = 659 8.... ten's digit z 8
100's digit::::::2 x 2998+659= 665 5 ........ 100's digit z 5
1000's digit::::::2 x 2997+665 = 665 9....... 1000's digit z 9

the units digit is 0(becuase there are 3000 terms and if you add 2 for 3000 times we are going to get 6000 in which 0 is brought down and 600 is carried forward).
now you are adding 2 for 2999 times.So it would result 5998 to which you are adding 600.
so the tens place is 8.
now try for thousand's place.
unit's place - 0
ten's place - 8
all the best of your exams.
