4{x}=x+[x]
4(x-[x])=x+[x]
4x-4[x]=x+[x]
3x=5[x]
valid only for 0,5/3

3x=5[x] substitute -5/3 in L.H.S = 3(-5/3) =-5 Substitute -5/3 in R.H.S =5 [ -5/3 ] =5 [ -1.666...] =5(-2) =-10 It doesn't satisfy.

[-x]=-[x]-1
so when -5/3 is substituted you will not get the answer.
